Zenias Tiere e.V.

Zenias Tiere e.V was founded in 2018 to support our animal rights activist "Zenia" in Greece. She was a lone fighter for many years and, together with our Emi, who runs the placement service, looked for the best possible homes for the pelt-noses.

Since the association has existed, so much has been made possible, which of course makes us and Zenia incredibly proud and happy. Thanks to donations, we have been able to build a sunshade and new outdoor and indoor enclosures so that the furry friends can sleep safely at night.

A container was also made possible for Zenia, in which she can store medication and other utensils, and in which a washing machine and dryer could be connected. Zenia washed the dogs' blankets by hand in both summer and winter.

In the last two years, we have been very fortunate to have been named "Animal Shelter of the Month" twice by the Animal Welfare Shop and to have received several tons of food donations. As Zenia knows what it's like to struggle alone, she has used the food to support numerous small animal welfare organizations that fight for the pets without an association.

All of the team members, who are spread across Germany, are always keen to fly to Zenia several times a year to help on the ground. Our next important project is the transporter. Our fur noses used to be brought to Germany by plane, but since Corona, unfortunately, obstacles have been put in our way. Since we still want our pelt-noses to get to their families safely, we plan to bring them there ourselves.
