National Young Beekeepers' Meeting

The proWIN pro nature Foundation is pleased to be able to financially support the National Young Beekeepers' Meeting 2024, which will take place from June 7 to 9 in Gersheim, Saarland.
This important event, organized by the German Beekeepers' Association (D.I.B.), brings together young beekeepers from all over Germany every year to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in the field of beekeeping. Young people between the ages of 13 and 17 have the unique opportunity to take part in an exciting competition, make friends and gain valuable experience for their future as beekeepers.

Venue and destination of the meeting

This year's meeting was held at the ecological school hostel "Sponshaus" in Gersheim, an ideal place to introduce the young generation to the important topic of beekeeping in a practical and challenging way. Teams from all over Germany competed against each other in a fair competition and faced various tasks that tested both their knowledge and their practical beekeeping skills. It was about much more than just the competition - the meeting promotes exchange between the young people and strengthens the sense of community among the young beekeepers.

Our support for the next generation of beekeepers

As a committed supporter of environmental and species protection, the proWIN pro nature Foundation is particularly keen to support projects such as the National Young Beekeepers' Meeting. As part of our sponsorship, we have contributed in particular to the creation of a varied and unforgettable supporting program for the participants as well as a festive social evening on the day of the competition. These additional program items are an important part of the event, as they offer the young beekeepers the opportunity to make valuable contacts beyond the competition and to celebrate their passion for beekeeping in a relaxed atmosphere.

As host, it was a special honor for Saarland to host this national event and to welcome the many guests from all parts of Germany. With our support, we want to ensure that the young participants have an unforgettable time, where they not only deepen their skills as beekeepers, but also better understand the importance of beekeeping for environmental and species protection.

Promoting beekeeping as a contribution to environmental protection

The promotion of beekeeping is closely linked to the objectives of the proWIN pro nature foundation, which is strongly committed to the protection of biodiversity and natural habitats. Bees play a crucial role in the ecological balance, as pollinators make a significant contribution to securing our food supply and preserving biodiversity. Projects such as the National Young Beekeepers' Meeting help to train the next generation of beekeepers and make them aware of the importance of their commitment to environmental protection.

A special day for the young beekeepers

In addition to the competition and the supporting program, the young people also had the opportunity to deal intensively with topics such as bee protection, sustainable beekeeping and the importance of pollinators for the ecosystem. The participants were accompanied by an experienced team of supervisors and referees, who ensured that the competition was both educational and age-appropriate.

A sustainable contribution to the future

The proWIN pro nature Foundation is proud to make an important contribution to the promotion of sustainable beekeeping and youth work in Germany with its support. We are convinced that events such as the National Young Beekeepers' Meeting will help to raise awareness for the protection of bees and their habitats in the long term, while at the same time promoting future generations of beekeepers.
