Marienhaus Jugendhilfe und Bildungswerk GmbH
We are delighted to be able to support another project that teaches children and young people valuable knowledge about nature and environmental protection.
In July 2024, our proWIN pro nature foundation made a donation of EUR 500 to the "KIJU bees at Pallotti-Haus Neunkirchen" bee project run by Marienhaus Jugendhilfe und Bildungswerk GmbH in Neunkirchen.
A project that combines nature and education
The bee project is a wonderful example of how environmental education and practical learning can be combined. Every day, Marienhaus Jugendhilfe und Bildungswerk GmbH looks after around 400 children, young people and their families at several locations in Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate. As part of its educational concept, the facility focuses increasingly on sustainable lifestyles and promotes a deeper understanding of nature among the young participants. With the new bee project, local children and young people learn how important bees are for our ecosystem, especially for the pollination of plants. By actively participating in the care of the bee colonies, they learn first-hand how our environment works and what role they themselves can play in protecting these small but crucial helpers.
Our support and the role of Geibs Imkerladen
In order to realize this project, the support of several partners was necessary. Our donation of 500 euros helped to finance the necessary initial equipment for the apiary at the Neunkirchen site. In addition, Geibs Imkerladen, which also looks after our own bee wagon, supported the project with its expertise and active assistance. Together, we were able to help find a new home for the bee colonies and prepare the outdoor area accordingly.
A valuable contribution to the future of our children and our environment
Thanks to our donation and the support of other partners, the bee project was successfully launched in July 2024. The construction of a safe location and the care of the bee colonies are important steps in sensitizing children and young people to nature conservation and teaching them about sustainable lifestyles.
We are proud to be part of a project that not only protects the environment, but also inspires and empowers the next generation to play an active role in shaping a sustainable future.
Setting sustainable impulses together
We would like to thank Marienhaus Jugendhilfe und Bildungswerk GmbH for their great commitment and are pleased to make a contribution through our support. Projects like this show how important joint action is for the protection of our environment and the education of the next generation.
