The association's animal shelter currently looks after 25 dogs, 28 cats and 13 small animals, which arrive there for a wide variety of reasons - from surrendered animals and found animals to sad cases of confiscation by the veterinary office due to poor care or neglect. Every animal finds shelter here.

The financial support was urgently needed to renovate two rooms in the animal shelter. Defective tiles and leaking silicone joints made a comprehensive renovation necessary, which was completed by the end of May 2024. This renovation will make a significant contribution to providing the animals with a safe and clean environment.

In addition, part of the funding went towards the high veterinary costs that the animal shelter regularly has to cope with. Many animals require specialized treatment due to their health condition and often have to be taken to the veterinary clinic in Ludwigsburg. Thanks to the support, these costs could be covered in order to guarantee the animals the best possible care.

The Allgemeine Tierhilfsdienst e. V. makes an important contribution to animal welfare in the region by offering animals, who often have a difficult past, a safe place and caring for them until they find a new home. The team works tirelessly to provide the animals with a species-appropriate and humane life until they can be placed in good hands.
