Wild bird sanctuary for sick, abandoned and young birds
The active members of the Saarland wild bird sanctuary (WiVo), which is housed in the former Püttlingen nursery, are delighted. The proWIN pro nature foundation is supporting the further expansion of the sanctuary. With the generous donation, a swallow room can be tackled in the short term. There, barn swallows and house martins will learn to catch flies in flight, an important prerequisite before they can be released into the wild. In addition, another part of the former greenhouse, which is currently protected from rain and wind by plastic sheeting, can be fitted with glass.
