Reteti Elephant Sanctuary

The Reteti Elephant Sanctuary is a community-owned elephant sanctuary in Samburu in northern Kenya. Its purpose is to rescue and release orphaned and abandoned elephant calves while providing much-needed benefits for local people. The project is an example of the local community working together for wildlife and recognizing their value to nature and the environment.
