Abandoned reptiles, found animals, smuggled animals or similar emergencies are taken in at the Poecitarium, cared for in a species-appropriate manner and then placed in a permanent, species-appropriate home.

The "Poecitarium" is a reptile rescue center founded by Patrick Meyer. The reptile expert takes care of injured, neglected and abandoned animals. Ideally, the reptiles are placed in a new, species-appropriate home. With the help of the donation from the proWIN pro nature foundation, the garden was redesigned to create a "turtle oasis".
