Outdoor kitchen in the school garden
Gödenroth Primary School is located in the Hunsrück village of Gödenroth, a community with around 500 inhabitants. The school, which has around 70 pupils, has been organizing regular forest days, hiking days or cooperation projects with the kindergarten on the topic of nature or the forest for several years. The school project started in 2018. The school was given part of a field on the premises of a local company to grow vegetables. In spring, potatoes, pumpkins, beans and tomatoes were planted, which had to be cultivated in the spirit of permaculture. In order to be able to process the harvested vegetables, an outdoor kitchen is now being built from the profits.
