In August 2023, the 24h Dart Spendenmarathon took place in cooperation with Gabriel "German Giant" Clemens. Donations in the mid five-figure range were collected, which are passed on 1:1 to associations and aid organizations in need. One of these aid organizations is the Manuela Schuster squirrel and small animal sanctuary in Saarlouis-Roden in Saarland.
Manuela Schuster and her husband look after injured squirrels and orphaned baby squirrels on a voluntary basis. The focus is on providing species-appropriate care for the animals and then releasing them back into the wild once they have been successfully reared. But it's not just squirrels that find a warm place in Manuela Schuster's sanctuary. Rabbits, mallard ducks, Canada geese, chickens and two wallabies from the kangaroo species also find shelter here.
This commitment deserves support. The proWIN pro nature foundation therefore presented Manuela Schuster with a cheque. The money will be used exclusively for the maintenance and improvement of the stables and enclosures, the purchase of animal feed and the payment of veterinary costs.
