A total of 171,500 euros will be donated to children's aid organisations and animal rescue and protection facilities in the Saarland.
The two non-profit organisations are once again providing large-scale support in Saarland: the earmarked funds are intended to help the selected organisations in their commitment to children with terminal illnesses and their families. Support will also be given to organisations that are committed to the protection, care and rescue of animals.
The effects of the pandemic pose a major challenge for the work of organisations and associations, as voluntary financial donations and food donations decline in times like these. This presents those responsible with enormous difficulties in their daily work. The donations are intended to remedy this situation and recognise the valuable work being done.
Including the most recent donation, the two proWIN foundations distributed a total of 300,000 euros in coronavirus aid in 2020, spread across various campaigns throughout the year.
